No, I think that my parents threw them away that day.

Damn it! Are the trash cans still out front? You might be able to rescue them.

Great pix!!!! Holiday photos that involve classic toys are so cool.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Love that plush mango-colored carpet and faux Spanish dark furniture. Is there a TV in there? Great Pic!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I remember those days so well. What's amazing is how much I valued my figures. Those boxes were even important to me as a kid. I loved displaying my figures in the box after I was done playing with them. I use to put them on the bookcase next to my bed. Of course, I never considered for a second there would be market value in doing that. Heck! I never called them Mego's either. I just referred to them as "superheroes". Looking back on it is almost surreal. All of those habits were the building blocks for what eventually made me a collector. I was already reliving the "shelf" experience as a kid. And I think that is the connection that takes me to that emotion when I see them today. The funny part? I often cringe on Christmas morning when I see all of these beautiful boxes being destroyed as kids tear into them to get at their toys. It's the collector disease in me. And I'm afraid it will never change.
