.....In pondering this, I'm forced to wonder.....would the talking Mego assume the identity of the figure they represent (ie: Mego Kirk talking and acting like James T. Kirk), or would they take on a whole different persona? Would they know they are in fact a toy, or believe themselves to be a full life form?.....
If Mego Kirk thought he was Kirk, can you imagine the chaos as he attempted to convince you to return him to his ship using reverse logic?
The uncomfortable feeling you get while Mego Kirk, finding his little blue phaser wont stun you and his communicator wont even open, begins performing all kinds of wierd drop kicks and funny looking karate chops on your ankles in a futile attempt to subdue you.
The queasiness you feel watching the little devil trying to "pick up" your sisters Barbie, only to find that he (and Barbie) are all smooth and plastickey "down there"!
....I think I prefer my Mego's the good old fashioned, lifeless way!
I dunno...I think if my Megos started talking to me, it would be like a nightmarish scene of "Indian In The Cupboard". Too weird. Though my mom is convinced that my toys start talking to each other when I'm not home!

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
