Customizing the Enterprise Bridge

Hi guys, I want to know if anyone here has ever done a customized Enterprise Bridge playset. I have it in my mind to do Captain Pike's Bridge from "The Cage". Anyone else ever thought about doing it? If you did, how'd you do it?
I have an old and rough bridge set off Ebay for a starting place.


I'd love to see what other people have done with the bridge set!

I never used a Mego bridge but I made my own custom bridge pieces out of cardboard boxes, mailing tape and paint.

Someone had an impressive bridge at Megomeet a couple of years ago, but I can't recall his name.

It depends on what you mean by customizing, or how you want it to look. There is no way to get new artwork under the clear vinyl and have it look good, I tried. You can certainly try to lay new art on top of the vinyl, get it printed on an oversized vinyl sticker, something like that. But again, how good will it look? That also gets expensive.

Those are incredible, Mikey! Seriously, I'm blown away. You should come up with some type of kit we could paint ourselves--I'd buy a couple!

Someone had an impressive bridge at Megomeet a couple of years ago, but I can't recall his name.

Yeah his name was Frank something, (I think). He still has it on display on Youtube. Not sure what his member name was here. He entered it in a Model Kit Contest and I think they busted his balls because there were action figures in the setting, (Star Trek Megos), and said it was a toy not a model. I think he got out of Megos. There is some snobbery among model kit groups towards toys being mixed with models. Which I think is stupid because regular model kit builders look down their noses at Sci-Fi model kit builders too.

That is sad. His work was fantastic and I remember an impressive Mego crew.
