I'm not sure when Gabriel released Carson City, but the designs are similar.
Although, it's also possible Gabriel "borrowed" from the POTA Village.

In Europe, Marx/Sio released a series of incredible wooden playsets for the Lone Ranger line, including a massive Dodge City.

Even the non-western lovin' kid I was in the 70's would have loved that Marx playset. The adult me thinks its amazing!

That Marx set is cool. I like the Mego design because it doesn't have people "stuck" into it like the Carson City one. I could see myself back then using the Dodge City one in lots of Trek and WGSH time travel stories. I doesn't look like ti has a gimmick, though, needed a trap door or something.
          It's all good!
