    The Mego Museum Revisits 1974




    All this week at the Mego Museum, we will be adding content from the ground breaking 1974 Mego catalog, this includes new scans and some*content never before seen on the site. World’s Greatest*Superheroes, Mad Monsters, Dinah Mite,*Action Jackson *and more surprises will be unveiled every day this week.

          This would have been the year when I really starting getting into Megos and superheroes. This is really gonna bring back some great memories.

                I was 7 years old then and my bedroom floor would have been a mess of Planet of the Apes, Monsters and Superheroes, (& Legos too). I remember having all those toys and Star Treks as well, but I couldn't tell you what actual year I had any of those toys, or which ones I got first or anything like that. Maybe this will jar some memories about what figures & toys I had and what year it was that I had them....This will be fun....

                  74 was a great year for MEGO you had the Mad Monsters but i could never seem to get my hands on a Dracula figure but the biggest thing to hit the shelves in 74 was the MEGO Spiderman a true classic
