OK Folks. Here's what I have and it will take a small bit of effort to fix. I will donate a Superman The Movie - Superman head, for a 12" Mego, but I only have a standard 12" Mego body to put it on, (which needs the lower right leg re-attached and the right arm swapped out due to cracking). I can provide the replacement parts for the arm. If it doesn't look too bad putting the head on a slim body I will donate this if someone can repair it and assemble it so it is a solid figure. Also would someone be willing to put together a costume for this donation? I know DrMego has some 12" accessories like boots and capes and maybe a bodysuit. We'll still need a belt, shorts and a chest emblem.

Optionally, I do have Superman Movie, Mego 12", beefier torso and underwear parts. We could swap the chest/underwear out, (if the arms fit the torso ok). Unless someone out there has the arms and legs for the S-TM 12" to throw in with my parts? Of course if anyone has a real 12" Mego S-TM figure to donate that would be better, Lol. If we can pull this off I will donate this!

I have vintage 8" heads as well. If we assemble an 8" Supes I may have a head if needed. Should we include a Shazam! to go with Supes? Again I may have an extra head and I have parts for vintage bodies to donate. We can do it as a custom. It need not be an exact Mego replica. I think this gent would appreciate and cherish the figures either way. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I also have other toys and comics I can donate. I just have to go to storage and see what I can part with.

Happens I was working just last night on a 12" MEGO project and found I really can't use the complete, original, intact muscle body I have. If somehow I could get that standard body (or at least the arms!) as a trade, I'd donate this guy (sorry, but I REALLY need some non-muscle forearms with good elbows).

I'd also throw-in a king size special edition Superman anniversary "comic" that came out about 20 years ago. Has origin story, ideas for Supe's amusement park, more.

Understandably this Guy is being private with his info. I am in touch with a family friend while coordinating this effort. I'll have one large box to ship when its ready so large items might prove difficult. We'll cross that bridge later.

you could just relabel the boxes and ship them straight to him to save on repackaging.

I'm not 100 percent certain how this will work. I'm getting a wide variety of items, both large and small as well as some artwork. I want to individually pack each piece and maximize the space and protect each item. I plan on taking a group shot of all the swag once I get it. It should be an impressive shot. You guys are heroes in my book.

This thread just blew me away! It just broke my heart. I know Mike I haven't seen him in 20+ years but his love of Superman is paramount and he is a great guy. I am sadden by what has happen. I am at the same time overjoyed by Megomuseum's resposne. I am looking through what's left of my comic collection and am putting stuff together.

After digging around, I only have a dirty T2 suit and boots. Looks like the T2 is already covered, so...

K, sounds like we've got a deal working for the muscle body.

In the meantime I will be sending out the Ltd. Collectors Ed. giant comic (my bad ... it's 40[!] years old, not 20), a Making of Superman the Movie paperback book, Superman and Superman II Veiw-Master packets (he'll have to provide his own viewer ) and Superman II on VHS (hush-up, it's free).

Note sure if everyone is aware of Noble Collections (http://www.noblecollections.com) but they make high-end collectibles like Harry Potter chess sets and so on.

At any rate, they have a Superman line and I contacted them today about making a donation of some sort. No promises, but the rep I spoke with asked to have all the details and it seemed -- to me at least -- that the conversation ended on a positive note.
