My Latest Mego Grab - Need Alittle Help on Repair

I got this in today, won off Ebay. I think it is from the new member Kraut, who found all the stuff in his attic, but he never replied back to me. it is in alot better shape than the picture he took for the auction. I am very pleased!!!

One of the straps on the right sling is detached and the other one on the same sling is close to breaking off. Any idea on a fix, or just display as is (you cannot see it when he is wearing it)? Would a drop of model glue or super glue work?

Nice grab matey...looks in pretty good nick.
Dunno if the super glue will be that strong a bond on the type of greasy plastic used on accessories. You'd have to roughen up the edges to get a good bond...but then run the risk of ruining it as that type of plastic don't take kindly to sanding/filing.
Unless someone comes up with a sure fire fix i'd display as is .

Model glue may work, but I am afraid of super glue because I think the fumes may do something the the figure/suit/etc. I have heard super glue could do that to some materials.

Mode glue is alittle more mild. He will be incased in a repro card/bubble from ToyRoom, so there will be fumes from the glue.

Just display as is. As an expert in both customs and movie Fx the GA straps were the downfall of the figure. I'd recommend a Doc Mego replacement, a carefully positioned pose of the original or a lot of epoxy.

Don't messs with it. Don't repair it.

carefully put it back on the figure and stop touching it before you break it even more than it already is.

Since that is a near total loss, I don't think you can do any more harm than it has already. Do one strap at a time, use one drop of model glue. You will need to rig something up to hold the strap where you want it until it dries.

You can get these at Harbor Freight for about $4.
