    Mego Sightings today

Went to the 80s toy show this weekend and it was exactly as promised, mostly transformers, thundercats and GI Joe stuff. I kind of felt old, still managed to buy a few things and saw some familiar stuff:

Canadian box, only the second one I've ever seen, at $600 I'm glad I grabbed the first one.

A Jim Hampton custom wasn't something I expected to see in Mississauga.

That big bright thing is my thumb.

Probably my last toy show for the summer, not a bad way to go out.

Cool. You're looking to see those even sometimes. I have a toy show that runs monthly near me, and there is a LOT of 90's stuff. To the point I only go once every few months to see if anything's changed.

I miss the variety of shows you can find back east.
Here in the NW, I have not found nearly as many shows to attend.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics!

The only shows we get down here in the south is either Dragon con or Orlandos FX megacon. For me that is either a 4 hour drive to Atlanta or 9 hours to Orlando Florida.~

I enjoy going to any shows because hits me every time that all that cool items still exist and all the memories that I had with them as a kid.

I always find it fascinating to stroll through other toy subcultures. Sat in on some Transformers customs talks that were just mind blowing what these folks are doing to pimp out their robots.

Ended up picking up a mego Spock MOC for forty bucks and some pepsi superhero glasses. Given how ridiculously crowded the place was, the sweet spot for dealers these days seems to be eighties kids.

For a moment I thought I lucked out on a parachute Batman, but the bubble was off the card so I passed on it.

WOW! That's better than getting my name in the phone book! Thanks for sharing.
It would be nice to have a decent toy show down here. Can't remember the last time that happened.
