Mego costume cleaning question.

Hi ,

I came across a captain america with his original star but there is some yellowish discoloration on the star and costume. Can I risk washing the costume in oxy clean or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

As long as the star is cloth you should be ok. I've never used oxy clean to wash my MEGO clothes. I've used woolite in cold water in my bathroom sink. It works pretty good.

Thanks, I'll try that first. I had good luck with a small amount of oxy clean on costumes without emblems on them.
