Testify, Torgo, testify! I agree with everything you said - I'd consider the Ranger more bad a** because he's so good he can shoot the guns right out of his enemies hands without stooping to their level and being a killer. Also, they should play up the equal partnership, great respect, and close friendship of the Ranger and Tonto, with Tonto being every bit as noble and awesome as the Ranger (Native Americans need heroes and role models too!). If there has to be humor, there can be some good natured joshing like in the recent Sherlock Holmes flick with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

      >But Tarzan? Exactly what kind of money are they making in saying 'no' to your offers?

I dunno.... they probably made a ton of cash from Disney.

This is a good thread here. Mainly, I always thought there was some issues about the Lone Ranger that writers never grab onto. He's the lone survivor of a massacre. Impossibly he survives (Or did he?) He is revived by an American Indian. Indians were and are viewed as very spiritual figures. After his "Ressurection" we never see the Ranger's face. As if his old persona died in that box canyon. If we did, would we see a lack of humanity or worse.
No! Lets forget all these unused story plots and just go silly! Yeeeeaaaaahhhh right.

I have NEVER been interested in the Lone Ranger... until now! Heck, if I ran a movie studio I would assign a writer to tackle this and drench with the coolest of film cliches that you can't help but enjoy!
