I bought a RC Batman at a local comic shop today and was surprised when I took the cowl off. He appears to be a Bruce Wayne alter ego head with no markings on the back of the neck. The skin tone also has the "coffee" color. Here are some pictures of the head and a picture of the head next to a regular RC Batman head. Is this the real thing?

Is This a Bruce Wayne Alter Ego head?

Not like it would surprise me if Mego used any extras to get rid of the stock with RC figures. They would swap boots and clothes to use up the excess. This is far less extravagant than cutting the blades off skates to make boots or something like that. I agree that for what I've seen no marks means AE. Since the color looks to be in line with other AE's I'd say nice find. Swap the head for a true RC BW head, to complete the original figure and grab a grey repro suit from DM and start the hunt for an original suit. It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

Thanks. I can't believe my luck today. No suit is needed actually. He came complete with suit, cowl, gloves, etc. He was obviously pieced together though. Here's why.....his suit was a T2 style with the polyester shorts instead of the nylon. But he had SKINNY BOOTS!! I have several RC Batmans, but only one with the skinny boots. That's the reason I bought him was for the skinny boots. I thought $150 was a good deal for a complete RC Batman with skinny boots.......even if he had the wrong bodysuit.
Then I got him home and removed the cowl. I knew he wasn't the usual Bruce Wayne the moment I saw the face. The skin tone was darker and then I looked at the back of the neck.......no markings whatsoever. I don't think the people I bought him from had any idea what they had. They didn't say a word about the skinny boots or the Alter Ego head. I really think they just thought he was the regular Removable Cowl Batman and they had him priced accordingly.

Yes, I think you're right about the eye paint. I had never noticed that before. I have another Bruce Wayne alter ego head and the eye paint is closer together on it too
Originally posted by RussGI say yes too ...congrats
another thing I have noticed with a lot of the alter ego wayne heads and the same with mine ... is also the eye paint is just a wee bit closer together, than on RC batman heads. I have 3 RC bats heads and one wayne head ... all the RC heads and the other two I've had, all had the same eye spaceing. where the wayne head is like yours with the eyes a little closer together along with the more tan coffee color.
not sure if the eye spaceing is 100% sure thing, but have never seen it on RC heads.Comment
