Your Best Mego Find of 2007/ Best Mego Deal of 2007

My Best Mego find of 2007 has to be a MOC Palitoy Fist-Fighting Robin, but he's now in the collection of Brian. It was a Super Hidden Auction where the title only said "Robin". I thought I'd lose the whole deal over the issue of payment. My town didn't issue International Money Orders for pounds and the seller didn't accept Paypal. After a very frantic day, we finally settled on International Travel Checks. Where there's a will there's a way, especially with Megos.

As far as one I still own, Aussie Eyeball Variant Wonder Woman is probably my Favorite find of the year. Tough to say since I have a Basa Robin on the way. I haven't gotten him yet, but I have a sneaking supicion he'll be my new favorite.

My Best Mego Deal of 2007 is probably Burgundy Cuffed Ursus. I bought his tunic, a complete Black Cuffed Soldier Ape and several other POTA items for $50. After selling off some of the POTA items and buying some parts to fix up a complete Ursus, I probably only had $25 invested in him and the Soldier Ape. There's many others that were memorable, but this one sticks out the most.

It's been a fun year. I've gotten more help from Mego Museum Forum Members than ever before and made some great friendships. 2007 will definitely go down as one of the Tops for my Mego Collecting Hobby.

Mine was the all original mint Super Girl. Stole it for $50. Unfortunately, I just sold it to help pay for my jersey.

The best Mego find for me this year has been this site/forum...i've been involved with many forums over the years and I gotta say this is THE friendliest one I have ever been on......People are usually falling over each other to help out or just share their thoughts. Have been most humbled by the PMs I've been sent on a number of things by a number of members.(you guys know who you are), and must say I'm really enjoying being part of this.
        Thanks guys and girls

Mine would be the Supergirl I just got. No shoes or emblem but she's mint and I've been after her for a long time. I got her for $62 not as good as antiquetiger got his for, but still I think I did good

It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure Ben's book will be my "find" of the year. Nothing can top that

carded US 1979 Hulk, not rare I know, but it means a whole lot to me. I really love my MIB Hulk Hide-a-way and my MIB 12 inch hulk (some one likes hulk). This year has been the best year of collecting because I really know what I am going for, the start of collecting was a nightmare learning from mistake after mistake.

It's been another good year for me. Hidden auctions again proving to be my best buys.

A job lot of Palitoy fist fighters (Lizard, Cap A and Spidey) for under a tenner.

A boxed Palitoy POTA rock launcher again under a tenner.

A Harbert carded Human Torch on a BIN - now part of Dans fabulous collection.

Two carded Palitoy Hutches both on cheap BINs.

A complete Commander Koenig for a fraction of what they have been doing recently..

And finally a loose Romulan which even at $222 I still think was a good price.

There has also been some good deals made with members here - you know who you are - and some some good friendships made. It's been a good year.

I suppose my only regret is selling my Cipsa apes. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes though - the chances of ever owning those again is pretty slim. Jim loves them though and I know they went to a great home.

I picked up some Isis shoes in a mego lot this year. I've been looking for those things for 3 years. So that has to be my pickup for the year.

An almost naked (he had pants) Zorro and a scrappy Lily Ledy Supes. I love them both so much.

2007 has been very good to me, expensive, but good! I think I have to give "best deal" to the variant Mad Monsters I got for next to nothing. I originally bought them to sell but couldn't do it once I got them.

                              They're neither Monsters nor Mad.
