Interesting to see what was available in the UK in 1977. Palitoy content.

I've just found this auction for a Palitoy Retail price list for 1977.

1977 Palitoy Retail Price List Action Figures, Toys etc | eBay UK

Pictured are all the prices for our fave lines.

Sadly it wont let me save the pics so i've archived the info' below

    ACTION FIGURES.
    22803 Transporter Room 24 £1.45
    22805 Star Trek 144 £1.21
    22810 Mr Spock 72 £1.21
    22811 Capt Kirk 72 £1.21
    22812 Capt Koenig 72 £1.21
    22813 Alan Carter 72 £1.21
    22814 Capt Zantor 72 £1.21
    22815 Batman 72 £1.32
    22816 Robin 72 £1.32
    22817 Spiderman 72 £1.32
    22818 Superman 72 £1.32
    22824 Super Heroes 144 £1.21
    22826 Batmobile 36 £1.69
    22827 Batcycle 39 £1.69
    22830 Space 1999 144 £1.21
    22840 Starsky and Hutch 144 £1.21
    22850 Planet of the Apes 144 £0.75

I presume the number after the name is the packing box quantity.

So what can we draw from this? Planet of the Apes must have coming to the end of it's run with the reduced price?
The four UK fist fighters were slightly more to purchase.
Paul Morrow and Mysterious Alien not yet created?
Batmobile and Batcycle? Mego boxed items? Never seen in Palitoy packaging?
    S & H Torino not introduced yet.
S & H Twin Pack not introduced yet.
    No Star Trek aliens yet.

Cool list paul! It would have been great to see a list of the green carded heroes, just to see if Captain America was actually released. I'm still not 100% certain if he was or not. If he was, then he must have been extremely short packed.

I'm 100% certain he was. Sad story below:

About 11 years ago, a Canadian man began selling his childhood toys from when he was a boy in Scotland. He played with all his figures but kept the packaging.

I was still on dial up and at a family reunion suffering the cats in my aunt's basement plugging away on the auctions.

Managed all his fist fighters, an ape and Starsky and Hutch (still have all of it). I passed on green carded Captain America because i felt "I spent too much" and been anti social for almost an hour.

A week later I told Mark Huckabone about it and sent him the link, gears fell out of his head.

Hehe, yes, I do remember you telling me that as it goes. So you passed on the only one known to exist all those years ago. Oh Brian!

I scored a Palitoy Star Trek Transporter like the one in the now infamous Big Bang Theory Mego Spock episode! Still trying to find a repo box for it online, though. No luck so far!
