Really enjoyed this podcast, listened to it twice already (making sure I didn't miss anything the first time lol). Was great to hear Ben, he's always entertaining and informative, here's hoping he'll be a guest again somewhere down the line. Keep up the good work guys.Comment

This is a lot of fun to listen to. Thanks, Scott and Brian. That's what I get for buying a cheap head-set, though. As I just mentioned to Scott, I sound like "God" in the Val Kilmer flick, "Real Genius" with that echo. "Kent? I want you to stop touching yourself!" Sorry about that, all.
LOVE hearing the Neal Kublan interviews. SOOO good.

Just listened to this and WOW it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed hearing from Ben and about his incredible (soon to be former) collection.
I especially enjoyed hearing Neal. I do have to admit to a bit of sadness knowing we lost him so early. I didn't have the access that others had to him, but that was probably simply a result of not trying too hard. As mentioned in the podcast, he spent an afternoon with me and Dan (Superunderdoggie) showing us some of the former Mego sites here in NYC. Even more interesting was how amazingly candid he was about his Mego days. He told us stories about the products, but even more about some crazy times that really reflect the business back in the 70's. I can't even repeat some of them here.
What was even touching was how moved Neal was about how important his toys are to us. He was sincerely touched to hear the stories of how we would drag our guys around not just back in the day, but even now. I honestly thought he felt a pride in his legacy. For some at Mego it may have just been a job, but it really seemed like a passion for Neal. Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

Another fantastic podcast. Thank you again for all of the effort. It made my day at work fly. Maybe in the near future you can check back in with Dr. Mego and get his thoughts on the end of the Mattel line? I can't wait to hear more of your interviews with Mego personel. The little bit you played was super interesting. If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment

Thanks for listening! It goes without saying that Paul is always welcome to join us on the cast, hopefully we can get him after SDCC (or perhaps on the floor again) to discuss all the new things on display.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

You guys don't get the credit you deserve. Also, I'm excited to buy your book when it's finished. Consider at least one sold.Last edited by Chris; Jun 24, '11, 7:39 AM.If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment

I really enjoyed listening to this episode. I thought the AJ revelation was neat and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the conversations were to be heard. I half expected an archived interview to have fuzzy sound and poor quality, but it sounded fine despite recording technology back then. As always, I look foward to new content as I've enjoyed every podcast to date.
