New Guy question

OK, so I am looking around EBay and I do a search for Mugato. The last 4 entries are a vintage body, head, shirt, and pants. Wouldn't the guy be better off to just put them together and sell a complete vintage Mugato? I am confused why it would make more sense to break him into 4 pieces. Just looking to learn a littl bit as the new guy. Couldn't I buy all 4 auctions, pay around $180, and have a Mugato? Is that high for one....etc etc.

The guy is hoping to make more $$ selling the parts. In some cases it works since there are several rare pieces to sell instead of just one. Not a fan of it myself but that's how it is sometimes.

That guy and one other guy I can think of in particular do that a lot.

Ugh, RobVader and TraderByNature really make MEGO shopping such a meat market. . . .you'll get your MUGATO eventually, and you'll have a better time online if you buy parts lots and trade things/sell things and make friends. Then you just might start rubbing elbows with folks who have nice condition 100% original complete figures in duplicate in their toy vaults and they'll happily sell you something. But that just all takes time and patience, and sometimes along the way you might splurge and pay a premium to get something QUICK (which many of us do, myself included) and that's fun too.

Bottom Line: make sure you have a good time and ask lots of questions when you have them. We all do. This is a discussion board, eh?
