Hello everyone. I've always displayed my figures using Kaiser stands, but I've been thinking about putting them in cases to keep the dust off of them. Acrylic cases can become expensive when your talking about numerous figures, so I've been looking for some other alternatives. I ran across these on eBay and have to say they look promosing: http://tinyurl.com/4y95r2a. Does anyone here use these? Just wondering if there worth the price. Thanks for looking.

you could always buy a display case with enclosed sides so dust does not get in. the dollsafe cases protect the figure but you still have to dust them off once in a whileComment

That's good to hear. I may have to give them a try.
I was going to buy a few Detolf cabinets from Ikea to put them in, but they have relatively large gaps that let dust in. I've also considered a regular curio cabinet, but they can get really expensive. These seem like a good dust free alternative at a reasonable price.Last edited by gummi; May 7, '11, 2:19 PM."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

Ikea's Billy bookcase has glass doors but they are rarely in stock at
the store here in Hicksville NY.
A cheaper way would be to get clear plexiglass cut to fit the door.
It's lightweight and can be attached with hinges to the bookcase.
I recently bought some thick plexi to make a cake hood for the
Enterprise - the top has a handle, four sides, and no bottom.
And the hood is too heavy and big for the kids to lift off.Comment

Thanks for the replies. I've looked at the Guardian Dragons also, but I like how these sit flat since I keep mine in a bookcase. I may have to take a trip to Ikea at some point; the Billy line of cases looks like something that could be dust proof."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

Thanks for letting me know. I do have a Michaels nearby, but I just ordered 50 of them from eBay. I never thought to look in a craft store for something like these. If I ever need more, I'll check them out."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

Your welcome!!!
They used to carry two different versions of these cases. One that had a removable top and the other had a removable back/front. I think that the removable back/front was for something like model cars, where you display them vertical instead of horizontal.Comment
