Not being an ape collector (don't hate me, I do have 1), I never realized that the ape village was in future-Gotham. Being built on the ruins of the Batcave like that is a dead giveaway.

The Apes were the beginning fo Mego for me as a kid and they still brign back the fondest memories. Awesome stuff.
