Probably tax returns. People have a bit more to spend and so are willing to go a little higher. That's my hypothesis at least: )

It's not everything either... I've found some fantastic deals in the last few months, but some lines are up there right now.

An incomplete Tong Ninja just closed for $42.50, and I've got about ten of them in various states that I didn't pay more than $16 each on. I saw some 60 dollar ape generals close for 150 instead, so they're up there too. But mostly the higher prices I've seen have been in the BIN area... and not selling.

A carded Uhura (with broken arm, and seller hurt himself by breaking the photo link but they had other nice trek cards up at same time) just closed for $6.50, and a T2 Lancelot from same seller with no sword, helmet or shield but including nicer outer box and boots/belt I was watching to flip for a belt closed at $23.

I've seen some things going for a lot too but if you're in the right place at the right time you can find a good deal. I just got a complete minty all original Isis with repro card, bubble and clamshell for $87.00 - not bad.

I agree.I've seen the same thing in years past. Give it a couple months and prices will go back to normal.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

On the flip-side, now would be a strategically good time to sell on Ebay for the very same reason.

Usually semi-hidden is where I've been able to score.
yeah weren't we talking about a naked superman went pretty high not long ago? Type 2 no chance of it being a kent or don.

The latest price spike I've been seeing is in the Planet Of The Apes...especially the General. Some ridiculous prices lately on loose complete and incomplete General Apes.

It is probably because of the new movie that is coming out.

Does that mean Thor and Cap A are commanding higher prices?

I missed a nice carded kresge catwoman last year with a 1295 bin. Won a lessor conditioned example yesterday for over 1500 so maybe some prices are on the rise.

It's possible. But I can tell you to expect for toy dealers to raise their prices on both of those heroes!

Did you notice they were all T2's.

It's not a doll it's an action figure.
