I almost forgot there was a toy show this weekend until a friend of mine asked me if I was going. I got there late with my 2 year old in tow. It's amazing how people want to give little girls things.
The US dollar is weaker than the Canadian buck right now and it really was apparent at this show, there was a nice selection of vintage everything this time around!
What I saw:
Grand Toys Carded Starsky- I missed this but the buyer is a friend who promises a picture.
Pin Pin Spidey- $100
Boxed Joker- $180
12" Spidey- $50
Piles and piles of AJ outfits.
Star Wars! Star Wars! Star Wars!
Lots of loose apes, dukes, etc.
Somebody stole the entire pile of Kirks/Robin cards I left at the front, which was discouraging.
I didn't pick up much for myself, a small parts lot and Amy got herself a Vixen figure.
On the way home I swung down to the Silver Snail which wasn't open yet. I grabbed my now napping daughter and waited like a junky. When they finally opened, I nabbed the last copy of World's Greatest Toys in the store, it was hard not to try and read during the drive home.
This book is incredible, even though I've gotten lots of insider looks, Ben managed to withhold a lot of things from me, making the experience of reading it this afternoon a complete joy.
