Please help to I.D. this 12" clothing..

Got this neat lot recently. My wife (as a seamstress..) suggested that some of the pieces may be homemade, but either way, these are made VERY well....They are super durable, and really some cool styles and materials here...

Here we have a three-piece suit, and a plethora of shoes - even dapper painted wingtips and a gold microphone! Some of this stuff is REALLY detailed..little individual shirt buttons and all...easily the quality of Sideshow/Hot Toys...

DURABLE! (a REAL working zipper!) -

Anyone have ANY ideas as to this stuff? OH - if it helps, in the bag was also a gold-colored 8" scale plastic sewing mannequin....?

Keep in mind I don't recognize any of the pieces, but they look a lot like Ken clothes to me. I really like the checked pants and patterned shirt, though. Pretty cool!

The hangers and light blue high heel shoes are Barbie - I've seen that style before for her. The blue socks look like Ken style socks.

^ Yes to the sandal, and it is Dr Evil's, and no to the mask...the mask came with some GoodWill stuff I think...I have several of them..

Thanks for the input thus far guys. As for Barbie, you are probably right, but did Mattel put out THIS sort of quality....I mean, the suit looks like it was tailored - ? I'm not seeing any labels either...is this common?

Well, I'd think Mattel would have tags inside the pieces. I was also thinking the tux could possibly be Sideshow 007, but I'm not sure any of them had cummerbunds and I think most of the bow ties are plastic. One thing that's really throwing me is the elastic waists on the jeans.

^ I agree. As to the 'stretchy' jeans, yeah, weird....I know for one thing that they are NOT anything 'newer'...just look at the bell-bottoms and paisleys!
I left out a few pieces as well...including the crown jewel - BRIGHT RED, bell-bottom CORDUROYS!

You know, it's possible your wife's right. I know Simplicity used to make patterns for Barbie and Ken. It might even be they made some for Joe. It'd be interesting to look into, regardless. I wonder how hard it would be to find some of those?

I dunno....it could be early 60s Barbie stuff...I think the tux shirt and pants might be Michael Jackson (LJN). But, those are some nice pieces.

                    ^ Thanks mam.

I'm not sure what I'll be wanting to keep, as this isnt really my scale....dunno what I'd do with it really. Its a shame, that suit is SHARP and everything is so well-made...ah well, at least I can 'spread the love' HERE....
                    (I'd much prefer hero/monster/alien suits..)
