Thanks for the kudos, guys! I should say, though, that the success is great exaggerated. The Mego book hit #1 in the 'Toys' Book section VERY BRIEFLY on Friday the 9th. It dropped down almost immediately, but my publisher opted to issue a press release all the same. Fine by me, even if it won't get me on Oprah's Book Club. Heh.

Congrats Ben. With the obvious succes of this book when will you start working on the second book (monsters, pirates and knights)?
I'd actually hope to do a 2nd Edition of the Super-Heroes book first, crammed with even more photos and information that will undoubtedly surface after this book gets out there. If not that, a "Book Two" in a series, covering the Legends of the Screen (i.e. TV and film characters), followed by a "Book Three," covering the Heroes of Legend (i.e. Robin Hood, Knights, Pirates, etc.), would stick to the original game plan and be very cool.
After being a regular here for a few years, my life got busy and Megos slipped down the priority list. I still have my collection of Megos and from time to time, I'd pick one up and wax nostalgic.
But it was the short article in "Entertainment Weekly" about the new book that brought me back to the Museum. (Which looks great by the way!)
After the small break... my Mego memories seemed all new again!
Looking forward to recieving my copy of the new book!
Thanks for posting that article, Brian. This is the first I've heard of a 24 page PDF preview at Two Morrows web site. I'll have to take a look when I get home from work.
