Micronauts: "Slugs" and "Lasersonics"

In the Marvel Micronaut comics, at the bottom of fist page, toys are listed off as trademarks of Mego.. or something to that effect. Anyhow, it mentions "Lasersonics" and "Slugs". ?? Were these ever proposed Mego Micronauts toys? I know in the comics there was the character Slug, and I think the laser guns were known as lasersonics. I think I read the explanation of this years ago over at the Micro Embassy forum, but I forgot. Anyone know if 'lasersonics' and 'slugs' were to be something from the Mego Micronaut line?

Micronauts Aliens playset

Awhile back I saw a sketch of what was to be a Micronaut Aliens playset. It's long since disappeared from the internet. Anyone have a picture of it? Anyone know what all was supposed to be a part of this playset? Were there floors and trap doors and laser cannons or something with it? All I know is that it was different from the Micropolis playsets...

I think; as is common for big companies, Marvel just slapped a copyright on anything they made and Mego did the same for stuff they made. There's been some problems 'cos of that: Bug is owned by Marvel, so Mego couldn't do a figure, for instance. Complicating the whole thing: Takara owns Microman, which is the series most of the Micronaut toys were cribbed from. So anybody wanting to do Micronaut ANYTHINGS has three different companies they potentially have to deal with. (And yeah, lasersonics were the basic weapons of the Microverse, and Slug was a character: one of the leaders of the resistance.)

The alien playset was a big tower with glowing brain at the top. Ray'll have more info.

I may be way off about this, but back around what must have been the last days of the Micronauts line, I found what I remember being called S.L.U.G.S. at an outlet store. I do remember that it was a zap gun of some kind that could be reconfigured (?) and maybe had a short sword blade integrated into it. White plastic with a silver-chrome blade. I also recall "SLUGS" being in the legal info on the box.

I can't claim to know for sure about any of this. I actually came to this site because it topped the Google hits for a "Micronauts slugs" search. Again, this is just from memory- hopefully it'll be of some aid, maybe jog a memory for others here.
