Price check for a Mego Starsky & Hutch Torino

I may be in the market to purchase or trade for the above item. How rare are these and what should I expect to pay for one in good condition?

You missed out on a recent discussion we had on this. I believe the consensus was around $30.00 if you place it on your watch list on Ebay. That's what I paid for mine. It didn't have the stickers on it, so I made some custom ones which I think turned out a lot better looking than the stock set. The originals never had the black line on them. Here's a shot:

Here's the link where we discussed. $30.00 seem to be the norm.

Wow! $30.00 is a steal IMO. I to would have been all over that. I was thinking more on the lines as Mike indicated.

Thanks for the info so far guys.

I can't help you on the Torino pricing but I did want to say that I am glad to see you posting again. Thought about you last week and hoped you were OK.

              Brad,

Thank you so much my friend. Great to see that you are still around and doing well. I tend to take a little hiatus from the MM every so often. I love this place and all of the cool peeps here like yourself. That is what keeps me coming back.

I think a mint loose car would be closer to the $75. More if it included the accessories.

You were one of the, if not the first person that was kind, helpful, and welcomed me to the Museum. I remember your help in a couple of pms and have never forgotten the kindness. Hopefully someday I can repay that to you.

Of course I found out that most everyone here is wonderful but at the time I was new and didn't know what to expect. I have been on a number of message boards over the years and some were not very friendly. In fact my first ever experience on a message board was so bad that it took awhile before I even went to one again. I only got my first computer in 2000 and had never used the net until then. Ironically the second board I went to was in May of 2001. It was an eBay board where I ended up meeting my wife.

I have been slowly building up the WGSH collection. I will get some pictures taken in the near future as I have acquired quite a few new pieces since my last collection photos. And all of them have come from the wonderful people right here at the Museum. Within my first 5 purchases I bought one Spiderman on eBay. Since then every figure I have has come from here. I believe I have around 30 now.

Everyone here deserves a pat on the back and a round of applause for how kind you all are! You guys (and girls) are the best!!

Even know I think you may be right about the price I still like the $30.00 deal much better.

                        Hi Brad,

As far as repaying me you already have just by the kind mention. I am very easy to get along with so I have been told over and over again by others. I love to help people when I can. I want it to be contagious so that perhaps everyone here will do the same for one another at some point in time.

There is indeed a lot of good people here and a lot of them has helped me to build my collection. I can only echo the thanks that you gave to them.

In the mean time keep on collecting. I look forward to seeing your new updated pictures of your collection.

Thanks again for being a cool member.

Hey Darren! That is actually an old jacket from a Lion Rock pilot. Don't know the actual name of the figure, but they were Teen Titan size. This one happen to be worn out when I got it, as part of a Mego lot. I eyed it and thought, "Hmmmmmm. That could be a great Starsky jacket." So I put it on him and, while snug, I thought it worked pretty good. Hey, everything in the 70's was tight, so it was a perfect fit to me. That 'weathered' look is just where the leather-like material had begun to crack. I imagine if you got one and just crumpled it a little in your hands, you would get the same effect. Kryptosmaster actually had a Lion Rock pilot for sale back in June of last year. He might be able to tell you what it was.

that jacket was able to fit over starsky with his turtleneck sweater. i've tried fonzie's jacket and it's very very snug. i can barely move his arms let alone get the jacket on him!
