New member (and returning collector) checking in

    Hello everyone.

Just registered a few days ago and the reminder keeps telling me that I should post so here goes:

I suppose like many of you I collected Megos, and many other figures, as a kid. I had the usual suspects, Batman(with the emblem worn off), the Hulk(whose knee joint was replaced with a twist tie),a Kirk (ironically with hair loss) and Wonder Woman(kept her around for Kirk). Had a few others growing up but I almost completely forgot about them all. As a horror fan I found 100ymm.com, only to find fearwerx, then emce, then Mego, and then it all started coming back to me. As I saw the Universal monsters and
NOTLD figures (which I bought immediately) it took me back and, like any geek would do, I began searching the web for any sites with information on "those figures I had back in the day". Its been great to see that not only have the toys of the past become iconic but that there a bunch of new ones out there that I would have loved back then. Turns out that I bought my 3-year old a Superman re-issue(now among my collection)a while back without even putting 2 and 2 together.

Oh well, that's where I'm coming from. I look forward to posting every now and again. In the meantime, its back to the work of explaining yet another hobby to the wife that she will NEVER understand, while trying to
live a productive life and, of course, digging through my parents basement and attic for that Remco Wolfman and my Batmobile.

Sorry for the long intro. Maybe now that reminder will stop bugging me and let me get back to lurking.

    Cheers,

    Bob

            Welcome to the Museum Bob.

I also recently jumped back into the Mego collecting and all but 1 of my purchases have been from board members. The best deals can be had here plus you get to deal with some wonderful people.
