Yeah, John was always a helpful guy to me and when I found a rare Canadian toy at show, I'd go running to him. It's the way it's supposed to be.

John still shares stuff with me, he keeps wanting to do a feature here about some of his crazier experiences collecting and I really hope he does. He's told me one or two things over the phone and they're really funny.

I was not a part of that era as I did not re-enter the Mego world until about '98. I've only had a couple e-mail interchanges with John and he was incredibly helpful and approachable. Despite his stature in this community, he seemed eager and willing to spread his enthusiam to a then-newbie like myself. I'm glad he got past his health problems, but I have to admit, it does sadden me a bit to hear that that enthusiasm has a bitter edge for him now. I'd love to be able to somehow help him get back his collection (if, in deed, he had any interest.)

          That was my key point.

So MM does not own MHT, just hosts it. I did not know that. Thank you for clearing that up, Brain.

Bill, you're so right. Back around '97-'98 I exchanged a few emails with John. While I didn't get to know him on a personal level he was always kind and gracious through his emails. He seemed always excited to talk Megos. Treated a newbie just like he'd known you for years. I'm proud that the MM hosts MegoHeadToys!
