Not a lighting issue. The plastic snap robins have a different color than any of the Robins that came before it. End run...I'm assuming that Mego got to the point that they just wanted to rush stuff out the door. Hardest thing to get is one that has both the shorts and sleeves matching. Easiest way to get it is to buy a sealed carded '79 Robin. Not sure if the carded Robins preceding the '79 have the plastic snap. It is a tough find...but not rare by any stretch of the imagination. Again, I prefer the plastic snap to any of the other Robins that came out before it.

That Robin's sleeves looks blue to me, good to have a new variant!
And the Ledy Spidey and Aqua looks minty, love 'em! I wish to have one Ledy Spidey someday....Comment

I've been meaning to post this for 6 months. I picked up the all-original, skinny boots, large S Superman from Greg at the show in GA over the summer. I hope we have that show again SOON. Then I got the plastic snap Robin right after a post Berto made on the subject about the green color. One just fell into my lap. Both fill a couple of holes in my small collection.

Nice figs Scott!
I think you'll be fine Ed. I have my own wacky theory on this, but basically I believe there were two runs of Buck heads, one with the "good" vinyl and a later run with the "bad" vinyl. An example from personal experience, about 7 years ago, I bought non grey Buck Rogers, Star Trek and Black Hole 12" figures. They've been displayed under the exact same conditions during those years (a room that's usually dark but sometimes has the blinds open to indirect sunlight, and an incandescent light on at night sometimes). The Black Hole and Trek figures have all tragically turned grey, but Buck looks as fresh and flesh colored as he did when I first got him. You should be good!Comment
