When you were a kid, and you and your friend divvied up the good guys and the bad guys in your Mego adventures, who would win? Was it always the good guys? Or would you let the bad guys win sometimes? And do your kids have the same sense of justice you had as kid when they play?

The bad guys never won in my adventures. But they would wreck havoc for days. And of course, I would have another Mego, typically Superman, take over the roll of Batman and go under cover wearing the cowl because the bad guys would always capture Bruce Wayne. When I wanted Robin to be "older" I would put the outfit on Shazam and make a mask for him. Now that I think about it, Shazam was used for a lot characters other than himself. I even used him as Peter Parker, NEVER knowing Mego had done the same thing. Honestly. I didn't even know about the secret identity figures until the 90's. I used alot of other figure lines too. The AHI monsters were always part of the bad guys. And I would dress up Superman to be Lawrence Talbot. I used the SWAT guys alot, but they always ended up getting killed.

I actually never had any of the Bad Guys. I think my Megos just kind of hung out and palled around a lot doing heroic feats. Kind of like Tiny Titans.
By the time Star Wars rolled around, I did play the Good Guy/Bad Guy thing, but Vader and his one stormtrooper always lost to the likes of Artoo and Threepio. I guess it never occurred to me to "army build" as the kids say these days. Did anyone have more than one Stormtrooper or Sandperson as a kid?Comment

I remember the sole purpose of putting the bad guys in "Jail" (the coffee table/cupboard thing we had) was to possibly trick Michael (the slightly nerdy kid down the block who had better selection of WGSH than me) into leaving either his Joker or Penguin at my house.
It worked about 50% of the time, I'd gladly return the Joker the next day but I got him for an entire evening. Mwa-ha-ha-ha!Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

One by one they were inevitably killed off until there was only one survivor....and they usually committed suicide because they didn't want to be the last person left on Earth."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

weird thing....My mother was killed when I was 6. So my thing was Batman was always killed when I played and all the others heroes grieved....at least in the beginning of my Mego playing days. I know....strange.It's all good!Comment

My Heroes always won. Superman always seemed to be the "deus ex machina" of my little dramas. I never understood in the Superfriends episodes why Superman didn't always save the day, not every episode had KryptoniteIt's all good!Comment
