Box wasn't in great shape but the Batlab looked alright. They paid $25 for it.

Didn't they already sell it a while back on Ebay. I remember something was listed about the auction here in the forum. Guess it was the same one? Not sure how far back those shows are filmed before airing.Comment

They purchased for 25.00.....looking for 200.00. It came with a beat up box. I saw a batman suit as well, but had it on mute so my son could work on his Geometry.Comment

I think they said it had a Penguin figure and some others in it as well. Did you notice the 70s Farrah poster in the background? Wonder what other great 70s stuff was in there!Comment

Here's the forum link discussing America Pickers having a Batlab on Ebay back in Sept. Could it be the same one from the show tonight?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the stuff and people the Pickers come across are legit. I mean, you can tell the cell conversations they have with Danielle are often "acted", and most (if not all) of their various visits are all pre-arranged and scouted, but otherwise I think everything is kosher.
I was very surprised that neither dude even said the Mego name when they came across the Batlab. Mike only referred to it as a "Batman VW Bus", which is pretty laughable. 70s toys are obviously not their wheelhouse. The box was pretty thrashed. Looked like some of it had been eaten by mice.Comment

I do remember one ep tho where there was an Evel Knievel figure, and Frank grabbed it right up, and mentioned it was made by Ideal. How can you know Ideal and not Mego?Comment

Here's a story on Frank that discusses the show. It answers a few of the questions about their finds. http://qctimes.com/news/local/articl...cc4c03286.htmlComment

Looked legit to me...unlike the Storage Wars carded Mego episode.
The key?
Not once did they mention the word Mego...they truly had no idea...like you said...to them...it was a Batman VW Bus.sigpicComment
