Your custom Elvira is great. I'd love to know how you did the beehive hair…

I have the 1998 Elvira figure which you can get from ebay easily. Yes, it was made by the ToyAction Figures Company and it has very little articulation. The Dress IS removeable and it comes with a snake and a chainsaw for her to carve pumkins! Its a great little collectible...The body is pretty sturdy and mine is still in great shape...you can also try to get the Amok Toys version but that one is now VERY expensive!

I picked up the Elvira made by TAFC when she was first released off the internet. I have her as the witch. Thought she was going to be a cool Mego when I first looked at it. I was totally disappointed. the sculpting and the paint on of her face is totally wrong. Her accessories are a bear to get in her hands, and there's not much of any articulation in her arms or legs. The only thing I can agree on is that they have a fabric dress on this toy, and not a molded plastic one. Don't bother with this figure, its not worth it, wait until EMCE, BBP, or someone can make a Mego figure of her.

The Figures Inc one has a removable costume. And the head was removable too. It took a tiny amount of work and it transferred over to a mego female body. It would look INCREDIBLE on the Yvonne figure from Zica...The Amok figure looks better but I do not know if the head is removable. And the dress is NOT removable.

Yep,..thats just what I did with mines Megokissface,..removed the dress belt and accessories, used a mego body and CTTV head repainted to look like her, and reroot her head to a behive,..and replaced her in the pkg which fits her perfectly. OH!! And thanks to a member here in the group who sells upper bigger booby chest molds for 8" Mego gals, completes her look! (the chest mold even has nipples!)

The Behive look was based on the Tonner Elvira doll, in which the hair is re-rooted as normal with bangs on forehead,...then front part of long hair is combed forward, and on top of the head, place a small black spongy foam ball material, comb the hair over it covering the ball, and once all is combed towards the back, its then held in the back of the head with a orthodontic rubber band, whats left are her bangs on her forehead...and thats it. (a little hair spray over the behive area helps it stay in place).....

EDIT... Oops on my end... I misread your post (need more coffee this morn) ... I can see what you did with using a different CTVT head and not the original abominations. That's why I was so impressed. I still am, don't get me wrong. Your figure is top shelf and if I would you I would make a different cardback for her and remove the Figure's INC references because all the credit should rightfully go to you

Now that Mego is back in business hopefully, we'll get an Elvira. There are so many possibilities for many different variations on her iconic character. I really hope this happens.

I'm shocked it hasn't to be honest, great viable property with a fanbase.

I expected hot toys or some other 12 inch figure co to pick her up already. They've done Vampirella, Lady Death and others. Odd huh? Maybe miss Cassandra doesn't want we men to have our own little figure of her at home where we can do whatever we want to her / it.
