Elvira figure?

My wife is OBSESSED with this character, and she flipped her lid when she saw the ad for her on my Three Stooges packaging.

A couple of questions please:

Is Elvira jointed like a typical Mego, and has she got a removeable costume? I was looking at some on E-Bay, and they sure dont APPEAR to be Mego-esque...
(The box for my Curly Joe says 'Figures Toy Co.'...I'm assuming that this name evolved into CTVT?)

Did they make other Stooges?

Never seen one before,honestly never new they made a mego sized one.I have one thats about 2 inches that goes with the AMT model of her car.

Although Figures Toys Inc is CTVT, I don't believe that figure is much of a Mego. Figures Toys made some other style action figures, including classic Legends of Wrestling and I think this is closer in line with that. These predated their entry into the Mego market.

Apparently there are different versions. I'd buy the one variation just for that chainsaw alone!

ODBJBG - Thanks for the info sir. I know that they made an Andre the Giant figure, two in fact, that ARE jointed much in the Mego style. I'd love one of these, Andre is a personal hero of mine!
I just read an auction description, and it said that she has seven points of articulation...meh...ah well...beggers cant be choosers I suppose, not like there are hundreds of versions of her floating around out there to choose from..

I 've seen people use the Andre figure to make Bane,the Batman villian before.I don't think the captured the true shape of her if you know what I mean.

I like Elvira too, but I must say I was quite disappointed when I saw that figure in the flesh.

Yeah, neither likenesses are none too grand, (Elvira/Andre) but there arent many choices out there for these two characters! (I do have a modern Andre though...he is spot-on facially, but a little small at 7" tall in my opinion..)

I'm going to do a custom Andre one day. I'll commision the head sculpt, just need to find a suitable body, thats the hard part...

If you want a real nice Elvira figure, pass on the Figures Inc. version. It does not have a real good likeness or paint application. If you don't have it already, the Amok Time figure looks incredible :

I remember when those came out. I'm an Elvira fan and honestly I felt this toy totally sucked. The Amok Time edition, although not Mego is wonderful! I have to get one of those!

The Andres aren't bad. The Legends of Wrestling line they did aren't terrible either, but thoise aren't like Megos... Whereas the Andre is basically a Mego in design.

Maybe you would want to wait until this model kit comes out? Seems to me you could swap the head onto a Mego female body. CultTVman is taking pre-orderers at a discounted price now.:

i USED BOTH CTV ITEMS,..THE eLVIRA DOLL DRESS AND CARD, eTHEL HEAD FROM I LOVE LUCY AND BARBIE PUMPS. hAIR IS REROOTED IN HIGH BEEHIVE AND LONG HAIR. fACE IS REPAINTED.

That statue is neat as well, though I wish they could have captured her likeness a BIT better...

My wife is holding out for a Sideshow Elvira, though I dont think thats going to happen anytime soon personally..
