Merry Christmas everyone. Here's my eclectic selection of ReMego gifts I treated myself to this Christmas. I love them all for different reasons.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Buck and Tigerman by ZICA toys.
These things are incredible, amazing attention to detail and likeness with the best production quality imaginable. For "Megos" they are actually a bit too nice, a bit too detailed, but they are a huge triumph for Zica and they show that truly excellent styling and detail can work on 1:9 scale.
If the LOST figures had been like this they'd be a huge hit, no doubt.

Brock Samson and Dr Venture from BifBangPows! Venture Brothers. I love this show and the figures are a lot of fun. Not a perfect translation into Mego form, I still think sculpted figures more faithful to the design would be better, but this does make sense with the show's retro vibe. I can't wait to get the rest of Wave 1 and then Wave 2.

EMCE's Universal Monsters Frankenstein and Wolfman are great. They correct the error Mego made when they went with generic monsters in the 1970s and they may be the best of the entire reMego trend--a great mix of authentic realism and Mego toy styling. Detailed enough to be cool but not so overdone that they stop being toys.
