Did You Ask For Any Mego, Re-Mego For XMas?

I cleaned up! I got both Buck Rogers figures, Emce Flash, both Flash Gordon figures, and also received and finished my Mego Teen Titans purchase from only a week ago, thanks to the incredible assistance of both Theressa and Paul! I will be posting a thread soon with those guys. Their beauties! But the thing is, that round up doesn't even begin to cover how many Mego-like figures I have gotten over the past two months. Think about it. All of Wave 3 Retro Action (from Heaven); plus the Universal monsters; the retro-boxed Capt Action figures from Castaway... I mean it's nuts around here! I need to inventory December purchases and gifts alone! I'd say I have purchased and/or received in the neighborhood of $350 in Mego or Mego-like figures in a 60 day spread. The good part is my wallet didn't buy all of it due to the holidays. Me happy.

Like Scott I have to take this on myself . . . this year I thought would be different I went out of my way to give specific places to obtain the EMCE Monsters and Season 1 of Jonny Quest (not really a toy but pretty much the same genre) I got stiffed! Did I get some decent presents yes, no question, stuff I needed but no toys . . . other than WGRH wave 3 which I purchased myself. I did wrap Flash and Capt Cold and placed them under the tree to me from Santa! if you want something done right . . . .

Yeah, I bought actually all of my figures, but my wife wanted to give me some of them since it was Christmas time. So she bagged the Buck Rogers figures and wrapped the Flash Gordon and Emce Flash figures and just gave me the money on cost for them. That was pretty darn cool, I thought. I had already purchased Wave 3 but had ordered another Flash because I HAD to live that dream I was denied as a kid. I got the dream. And man do I feel like I was about 8 years old again on Christmas morning. That's as cool as it gets.

I was looking for EMCE Chekov to round out my Mego/EMCE bridge crew which became a reality. I need Uhura too but I'm not thrilled with her face (original or otherwise) so I'm going to make a custom of her that will look a little more like Nichelle Nichols or possibly the new girl.

Some great pick ups. isnt Barnabas and Angelique a great set? man I hope they continue the Dark Shadows line! You really need to pick up the DS werewolf too Thomas, it is a beauty!

I asked for a bunch of re-Mego this Christmas. I figured if there was any year that my GF would be able to score me a Mego, it would be this year, with so much readily available.

Sadly, I got nary a one under the tree. Entertainment Earth's shipping towards the end scared her and TRU didn't have anything left in the store.

Oh well. I did get my Cast-a-Way stuff right before Christmas, so that will have to do.

My sister is the best.She looked all summer for megos I couldnt believe it I got Batgirl,Wonder Woman,Supergirl,Ironman,Shazam all loose and spiderman on pin pin toys card.
