    Mego bodies

I'm 46, and I remember when Action Jackson first came out as well as getting my WGSHs at Kresge when they first came out.
I received them as gifts well into the 70s, but never realized the difference in the body types back then.
After reading the book,WGTs, I noticed that they did, indeed, retool the bodys a couple of times.
Curious, what was the thought process behind that? It surely was an expensive endevour?

Also, what did the type 0 bodies look like? I'm sure they were the AJ bodies as well as the first wave of superheroes. I have just forgotten.

The Type O body looks like the early Type 1 except that instead of metal rivets it was plastic pins similar to what you would see in the Type 2. The Gallery probably has a picture under AJ.
    It's all good!

According to Neal Kublan - MEGO production manager - the rivets in the type 1
body contained lead, so the decision was made to create a new, all
plastic body that we refer to as type 2.

            "lead "yet here we are.
type O was in itself a revoluatioary design, a self contained body with no other connector other than the elastic cord to hold the limbs. But The Body <even thought I like it, was not very muscular and the design of the "POP IN" joints tend to pop off or break off, early AJ included a note in the box stating They might "POP OFF" and what to do.
There type O r (round) where the wrist were rounded & Thinner ,these tend to break apart wrist mount and Type O s (standard) are more Angular wrist mounts but these tend to break off at the Palm .
