Other Mego Sales Samples?

I was thinking about the Greatest American Hero salesman's samples that have shown up over the years from various sources and it occurred to me that we don't see other salesman's samples show up for other lines, WGSH, Trek, POTA, whatever. Am I wrong about that?

The person had these GAH figures also had Love Boat sales samples, I didn't even think to ask him if they were production samples. Kind of got star crossed.

I have spoken at great length to the former sears toy buyer, he has a wonderful cross sampling of items but they all seem like production items.

Yeah, I figured for the most part they had production samples. I wonder if they had these prototypish GAH samples because things were so tight at Mego at the time that they took the extra step to determine interest.

I still have this Jordache salesman sample. You can see the pasted on dude art and the scratched out "Doll Stand and Shoes included" . . . .it would be fabulous to find some WGSH samples!! Where are they!?!?

I saw some of these when I was checking out a huge doll collection that a guy was selling after his mother passed away. I didn't pick them up. It was mostly Barbie stuff, but I didn pick up The Captain and Tennille (hey, Tennille sang on Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and that Captain head sculpt was used for Peter Criss, so it's cool .)

I can't remember if it's already been established, but he looks exactly like the "comic head" Superman with a mustache and different hair colour.

I can't remember which MM member it was, but I bought a generic "Barbie" space station set, and he threw in Mego's Kitty O'Neil and the Jordache Man.
