Your picks --- Worst Mego Sculpts

What's your top 3 list of worst Mego head sculpts ?
8", 10" and 12" included

They can be either just plain bad sculpts or sculpts that don't look much like the actors they suppose to portray.

My list... (not in order)

1. Doctor Who

2. Scotty (Star Trek)

3. Superman 12" Christopher Reeve version

I've always Somewhat Hated Invisible Girls Head Sculpt. It looks Like Roid Rage Mixed with That Time of the Month, or Something, and totally Doesn't Match the Character.

To Just keep it all WGSH, Because thats all I for the most part collect....

Aquaman.
It's Just Aweful. He even has Spock Ears. Why ? . He looks Nothing like His Comicbook, ... I couldn't even fake it as a Child.

I think the Cowardly Lion was pretty bad, especially when you consider how well they nailed the other ones. I don't think Hutch looked much like David Soul. As far as the WGSH goes, that is easy - IRON MAN. A complete miss.

Mxy and the Riddler. I don't like the Riddler sculpt. The Batman sculpts look like they were inspired by TV series, all but Riddler.

Maybe it's just me but I always got this Reggie Mantle gone bad vibe from the Mego Riddler.

I've never been a fan of the Mego Dracula. The other Mad Monsters look nice, but Drac is too cartoonish looking, almost a parody of a vampire. I'll eventually have to buy one to complete my Mad Monsters collection, but I won't be happy about it!

For WGSH's I never much cared for the Superman sculpt ... I always thought he just looked like a regular generic guy.

Ok we can complain about the sculps as old men, but seriously put yourself in a toy section back in the day looking at Megos. Which ones would you really have not liked because of the scuplt back in the day?

I didn't look at Scotty and think to my 8 year old self, "My, I wish he looked more like James Doohan." To me, he was Scotty. Mxy was just a goofy character I wasn't interested in. I can't blame the sculpt, because personally can't imagine a sculpt I would geek out over then or now.

For everything wrong about the character in the Trek universe, the Neptunian was one of the greatest Megos to me back in the day simply based on how he looked. Which was awesome. I had never seen anythign like him and I was blown away.

My only disco era dissappointments would be some of the monsters. As a kid, I loved the Mummy to death but Dracula just didn't do for it for me. Frank and the Werewolf were ok, but just that.

At least Mxy looks like himself, but Gorn is a reused lizard, so he gets my vote too

I don't think that Scotty looks anything like Scotty, but it's a nice sculpt. The Gorn may just be a brown lizard head, but it actually does look a good bit like the Gorn (and it would have looked even more like the Gorn if they had just left it green ) So I think for me, the worst Mego head sculpt is a tie between Chopper from Starsky & Hutch and Jon from CHiPs. The Jon head doesn't look anything like him AND it's too big to use for a custom or random 'other' character. The Chopper sculpt is just a dumb looking head. They should have just used a Klingon head for the bad guy in the Starsky & Hutch line and spent the money they spend on Chopper making a darn Lex Luthor!
