BenBarb just got over 150 for a Supergirl w repro cape, emblem and shoes???
Shouldn't that be a 50/75 piece w. all that repro crap on it??

If it'd been real I can only imagine what it would have hit. I think I need to take my sales post down and outfit all of my figs w. cheap out repro parts, then they'll sell for some bank. To be serious though, I'd trade 50 to 75 worth of stuff for a real pair of shoes for mine.

    Cheers

        RussG.. I agree with you..
I would never allow to have my "princess" wearing repro slippers lol
Also repro parts fool too many people who are not that familiar with Megos or can't tell the difference between which parts is real authentic or not which are difficult for them and leads to many conflicts too.

Supergirl's one of them weird figures that every so often folks REALLY need; hence why I said it's so tough to accurately gauge how much the slippers would go for.

that's for sure ... a figure that will sell for $20 to $50 naked

as low as $30 with just the suit but as high as $60

and when complete all original parts can sell for over $50 each but yet can be found complete all original for under $100 but sometimes as high as $200

oh and then the silk screen suit ...I've seen sell for about $220 alone and $170 for one with the doll in the suit with cape

you know the times that I;ve reproed out my extras .. I have done a lot better on ebay when selling them ... not a bad idea really. only thing is you start paying $5 for boots $10 for a belt it starts to cut into the profit pretty fast.

The Magic camera. Love it. I saw him sell a POTA Astronaut with a chunk off his nose for almost $20 bucks a while back. I see nice ones sell for less than that all the time. He does indeed have a magic camera, but if it works don't knock it. I still haven't figured how everyone that sells on ebay doesn't invest in a decent camera. You still see unbelievably bad pictures on there all the time. My 14 year old daughter can take a picture of something through a dirty car window while I'm doing 80 mph and get it centered and in focus, yet an action figure standing on a table 2 feet in front of some people is like trying to get a snapshot of Bigfoot.

As for the Supergirl slippers I believe $50 is easily obtainable, but $100 may be a bit far. I have seen a number of complete supergirls sell in the $125-$140 range. I think the highest I saw a single one go for was $30. I am pretty cheap and I still need one more original for my figure and I'd probably go $15-$20 cash for one if I ever felt I really needed to finish her. It's really konda ridiculous when you think about it. How many of these got swept up, from the floor of a factory in China, and thrown out in 1974?
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

If you think ponying up $$$ for her shoes is crazy, consider this:

My dead-mint Supergirl has her shoes (stored away), but she's wearing vintage WW boots that I customized--yes, customized.

                  I'm not right
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

WW boots sound more better and trendy hip than those silly slippers but it is a shame I have that kind of OCD where every figure must be followed by the accessory inventory and perfection too.
