Yeah ,i like that! tell me it's not just me, but doesn't Green Arrow have the worst pose of all the Mego's? even Riddler's wierd pose is better than standing at attention.

Green Arrow is so stiff because the picture was from a model sheet for
Superfriends - when he appeared in an episode - which makes me
certain that WGSH was based on Super Friends.
If it was based on the comics, Green Lantern or Flash would have
been much more popular to make a toy from. Green Arrow was in
the cartoon because he's easy to present without too much back
story needed.Comment

They explained it so well in the commercial. He's the superhero from the forest. He does look out of place when presented with the other artwork. Badass poster, though.

Wait a second doc... doesn't WGSH predate Super Friends? and also I remember many more episodes with Green Lantern and Flash and don't recall more than one with Green Arrow. I am more of the belief that the WGSH led to the Super Friends. That seems to make more since to me anyway.
Meanwhile, the initial wave of WGSH figures hit stores in late '72...Green Arrow not joining until 1974/1975. And, besides the Teen Titans in '76, he was the LAST of the DC heroes to be released by Mego in that format. In fact, the rest of his "wave" was comprised of Marvel heroes.
So I think the lack of Flash or Green Lantern has more to do with the fact that Mego was "done" with DC for whatever reason, rather than GA being a better character than them or they fact that he appeared on The Super Friends.
True his backstory may seem simple, but the accessories alone for GA had to push the cost of the figure up there as opposed to say a Flash with a new headsculpt...So I'm not so sure he was chosen based on the simplicity of his backstory, when it would have cost Mego more to produce him that Flash or GL.Think OUTSIDE the Box! Do you have a list of the order that the episodes were broadcast in?
The Salt Vampire episode was the sixth one, but the first broadcast
after the second pilot "Where No Man...."
The toy business works about 12-18 months ahead of broadcast, so
all the work for WGSH were in production before the show debuted.Comment
