Blue Batmobile for the 8" figures?

The blue Batmobile is an urban myth, like alligators in sewers and such.

There was a Mego hoax site a few years back. They had a blue Batmobile pictured. This one is more convincing, but I still think it's fake.

It's a fake. There is over spray in various places and the "pipes" are painted silver. Nice custom

The one thing that threw me off is how they got the body of the car such a nice blue. It totally looked like it was cast in blue plastic. Probably a really nice, even spray paint job. It is striking.

Good thing for my wallet that it's a repaint! The thought of there actually
being a production version of the Batmobile in blue made my heart jump.
(Maybe I should switch to decaf?)

For some reason I like the Batcycle better in blue than black - don't
know why - it just seems more toylike.

BTW, that is a cool-looking custom. I don't think there is anyway a variant of a vehicle that iconic could slide under the radar of we rabid Mego-heads for over thirty years and some guy end up with it as part of a lot he purchased. Hey, maybe he bought it at a mom and pop drugstore in the mid-west...still had some Kenner Star Wars figures on the shelf, too... .

Here's what I was thinking of. It wasn't a blue Batmobile but a blue Batcopter.

It has to be a custom. It has chest emblems on the side. If it was a factory change in mold color they probably still would have used the same side stickers. I agree though, it's a cool custom.
