New person here - Hi everybody

Long time fan of Mego figures and toys in general.

I had no idea that such a site even existed. I have been lost in childhood memories looking at all of the great photos and everything else here - HUGE thanks to the MegoMuseum!! I noticed the 'forum' area here and decided to join. You all seem like a great bunch of people, very glad to be here!

    Take care

Thanks so much for the welcoming!

And Megoapesnut - I love your little picture there - one of my favorite Megos!

I think that I actually have that head, the darker-furred ape, isnt he one of the two 'Generals', or?

Two Trek fans back to back??

Really? A meeting, eh? That sounds beyond great! Sort of like a convention, but orchestrated by this sites members?

              Thanks!

That's actually a CIPSA Ursus figure, which uses the same head as the Mego version, but different clothing. You can find more about the CIPSA figures here in the galleries and at my website Cipsa Tribute. Here is the full image, which is from the set of MegoCIPSA cards I produced earlier this year. I see you are looking for cards in the card thread. PM your address to me and I will send you a set of them.

That is beyond the beyond! I had NO idea of such things!! I suppose that these 'Cipsa' Apes are kind of in the same vein as foreign (to the U.S.) Star Wars figures, am I on the right track? (I have a buddy that collects SW figures from Poland, Mexico, and various other countries, I just never knew that Megos were released under any other 'name'. I hope I'm making sense, heh.)

I will go and see your page now, it looks very cool!

As to the cards, you DESIGNED those?? Wow, that one desert scene looks fantastic!

That is a VERY generous offer, to flat-out GIVE me some cards, but I wouldnt feel right about that - Are you sure that you dont need me to make a PayPal payment of some kind for your time and efforts?

Thanks so much again to everyone, and a GIANT thank you to you Megoapesnut!

Nope, I sent them to everyone else who wanted them. No payment necessary or wanted. I have plenty of them and postage is just a stamp or two.

Yes, CIPSA was a Mexican company that produced many toys, including five POTA figures from Mego. You will find many of Megos were released in other countries. Bullmark and POPY figures were released in Japan and wait till you check out the Lili Ledy WGSH figures. You will find a number of members here who will be happy to initiate you on those.

PM me your address and we can chat further through that.

Thanks Bat! (Or is it THE Bat?)

Megoapesnut - I just checked out my odd-ball Ape here man, his back says:

'Azrak Hamway International, New York' And the date 1974. I can put a picture of him here, if you or anyone elsewould care to see him? To me, he has always looked more like a toad/reptile than an ape!

                              Thanks -
