back in the mid to late 1990's, I sold all my carded figures, including an Iron Man, green goblin, aquaman, etc... had NO idea back then (I didn't collect carded, only loose, but had bought this collection that had them) that they were so rare...c'est la vie

Thanks for all of the posts! I'm still a bit sad, but at least I don't feel alone!

There were a few others over the years:

Traded my 100% MINT Cheron for a Mr. Fantastic. To this day, I have never seen a Cheron as nice.

Sold my 100% MINT 12" Superman set (all 4 figures). I will never own a set that nice again.

When I first started collecting, I traded the boxed Transformer 'Sunstreaker' that I had as a kid for a carded Mego Kirk. I had been offered either the carded Kirk or a boxed Mego Falcon. I've since owned other carded Kirks, but I've never owned a boxed Falcon.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

I sold my CAH Fortress when I had first joined the museum. I figured I didn't have the figures so what was the point. That was a year before I found all of my childhood WGSH and CAH buried in the back of my folks storage unit. I had thought back then that they were long gone. Truth be told, I don't have the space for it except in storage, that's what I keep telling myself anyway
                      It's all good!

As a teen, I traded my childhood Batmobile for a handful of Black Hole trading cards.

I bought a ton of figures for $3 each, at an old toy store find.
Years later, just before Ebay, I sold them for $40 each.
A year later, I checked Ebay: they go for $500 each, easily.
Had I held onto them, I could have bought a house with the proceeds....

                              ^expensive.

I miss my Mission to Gamma VI playset. Also the Wicked Witch's Castle... not a super rare item, and a few have come up in decent shape, AND I'm running out of space (nice problem to have) but still... I hung onto it for my custom Hellboy to hang out in, really wanted to set the WGS Knights up there but back in the day I said to myself, "feh! I'll never own any knights..." So. You know. Now I have them and they need a house.

My SI Bruce Wayne head. At the time I had no idea there was a difference between SI and RM, and I said, "feh! I'll never find a Wayne suit or Bat cowl..."

So basically I've started to second guess myself whenever I start a thought with "feh!"
