Thanks for all of the responses, guys! In addition to the few Comic Action Heroes that I had as a kid, I had the Fortress of Solitude (which looked a lot more like the Hall of Justice to me). It seems like it came with a Superman that had his emblem painted differently than my other Superman. If I recall correctly, one had a metallic red 'S' and the other had a flat red 'S' - does anyone have any info about this?

I will most likely only pick up loose figures and only if I can get them for really cheap. I think I'm more interested in the Comic Action Heroes, but I would have liked it more if Lex Luthor had been available with the Comic Action Heroes line.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

I'd say the PH Aquaman, Goblin and Cap are the toughest figures since they could only be found on white cards.

The toughtest carded are the 4 PH denim cards followed by the PH white cards. All the CAH's carded can be found.
true, but the spidey, goblin, hulk and cap on CAH carded all run well into the hundreds...maybe even $400 each in nice shape...

but yes, I prefer CAH to PH...

Yeah as tough as the Marvel CAH figures are though, they seem like a cake walk compared to end run PH stuff.

When you're talking packaged, the white carded Batman is the toughest, trust me on that.

to be honest, since I am pretty much "done" with my WGSH 8" line (only need Carded GG and RM SB robin) I am looking for a "cheap" run to collect, but something that will be a challenge...guess I will start with some PH lol

Enjoy the false sense of accomplishment of the deceptively easy to collect red cards. The rest? well it's fun if you have a little patience. Some things pop up annually but they do pop up.

I agree Brian. I've seen more CAH Goblins and Caps then white carded PH Goblin and Caps.

I know all too well the price Rick. The CAH Goblin and Cap are the last 2 I need to complete my carded set. Of course I also need the PH Goblin and Cap to complete that set as well. I think I see a pattern here.

I never had the CAH as a kid, but I had Supes, Bats, Robin, Spidey, Hulk and Luthor of the PH set, as well as the Batmobile. I loved them, and as they years went by and more smaller figures came along, they got more play than my 8" guys did. Plus I actually had a villain in Luthor!

As for the figures, I still like the PH better, but the CAH has it's charm. A good number of those guys all squatting is a fun sight to see.

But the CAH packaging, especially the playsets is far superior. The red PH cards are horribly bland on the front. Mego's most phoned-in design. The back is nice. Why not put that on the front? The White cards are a big improvement. The denim cards are fantastic.

just sell me your RM solid box robin, then I bet you will have enough $'s to complete every other line

I've seen more carded PH Goblins, as opposed to the CAH version.
In regards to Cap, definitely CAH.
