Comic Action Heroes vs. Pocket Super Heroes

Comic Action Heroes vs. Pocket Super Heroes: Which do you prefer? Which are harder to find? Which are more expensive?

I had several Comic Action Heroes as a kid (I still have my original Aquaman) and I've picked up a few Comic Action Heroes and Pocket Super Heroes here and there over the years, but don't really have a "collection" of them. I've been thinking of trying to work on one of the series, but didn't want to get into one series only to find out that for one reason or another I should have gone with the other. For example, maybe the Comic Action Heroes are way cheaper (or way more expensive) than the Pocket Super Heroes; maybe one of them is more likely to fall apart or become loose over time. I just wanted to get the input of anyone who had an opinion one way or another.

I Like Comic Action, Because I Has A Few As A Kid. So It Was Easier To Complete The Set. They Are Both Cool .

I never had any of them as a kid. Still need the Wonder Woman Jet and Batcopter CAH sets.

I'd say the PH Aquaman, Goblin and Cap are the toughest figures since they could only be found on white cards.

The toughtest carded are the 4 PH denim cards followed by the PH white cards. All the CAH's carded can be found.

I preferred the CAH line. Just liked the bent legs look better, I guess.
Had them all as a kid, along with the FOS.

Currently on a quest to reacquire them all!

I only ever had the ones with the straight legs. I had Batman, Robin, and Spider-man. I still have Batman and Spider-man. I don't like the look of the bent legs. I don't really understand them.

I personally like the CAH because that is what I had as a kid. I liked the bent legs so that when they sat the feet touched the ground.

They're both wonderful, I have happy memories of both lines. I like the comic action packaging a little better but that's cause it's gorgeous.

I like pocket heroes best...

I'm not a fan of the bent legs even though that's all I had as a kid. I had batman, Robin, Joker, Penguin. When I saw my first Robin pocket heroes at the flea market I almost fainted!

I really like both a lot. I prefer the Pocket Heroes. I just wish they would have made a Shazam Pocket Hero. I too have a lot of fond memories of both lines. I had quite a few from each. Loved the Pocket Heroes Batmobile set.

Yea, I wish both had been expanded - PH Shazam, Joker, Riddler & CAH Riddler, Supergirl. Those would have been cool.

I love both. I think the Pocket Hero line has to be my favorite. The white cards are the best of any Mego cards.

Both lines had great playsets, only adding to their coolness.

So they can sit in the chairs in the FOS, and in their vehicle seats!

sorry to say there isn't a "definitive" answer for which to collect based on price. If you are only a figure collector there are less "varients" in design for PH but more pacakging variatons. some figs (Like capt america) are really hard to find complete for either line both lines had characters that weren't in the other. When you add in vehicles and playsets CAH can get really expensive due to variations in figures.

from a play /durability standpoint I see far more CAH with repaired legs than PH but most of the design of CAH was transitioned to PH

you could just pick and choose by looking over the museum pages to decide which style for a fig or vehicle is best (for instance I think the PH batman robin and batmobile are nicer designs but the exploding bridge playset that came with the CAH was way cooler
