Apes Fortress value

What is the current value of the fortress? I received an email from somebody offering me 150 for my apes fortress. My fortress is unused and everything is still as is came from the store. It is complete. The box is open but the baggies are all sealed and the flag and mirror are still on original backings. I was under the impression that it was closer to the $500 range but i only recently renewed my interest in the hobby. My stuff has all been sealed away for 10 years or more. If anybody could give me an honest estimate i waould be very appreciative.

I recently sold a boxed unused and never assembled fortress for $400. The box condition will play a big part in the value. My box was in pretty darn nice condition and still had all of the cardboard inserts as well. All contents were gem mint. I'd have to see the box before giving you my opinion of what it might sell for.

I was able to pick one up recently in lesser condition (8 or 9 out of 10, but with water damaged box) for under $110 with six pota figures and a complete wagon/catapult set included.
I think I gave mouth-to-mouth to a nun in a former life or something.

Thanks for the intell. I guess i'll hang on to it until somebody makes me a reasonable offer. I'd probably sell it to acquire a small ape army. I'm pretty sure my Generals currently outnumber my soldiers.
Anyway, What is considered to be the holy grail of Mego apes stuff. Is their a loose part everybody wants or needs. bandolier/knife, gloves? Is their something I should really keep an eye out for?

You could probably get a different answer from everybody on that question. My Mego Apes grail is a Tree House Gift Set, but only because I have pretty much everything else. Other collectors might have different items they consider a grail.

The harder things to find are the carded Palitoy figures. Maroon cuffed soldier apes are pretty rare and in demand.

I sold one in phenomenal shape a few years back, for 525.00 It was super clean. Not sure what that same one would go for now, though. Hard to say, depends on who wants it and how bad they want it.

I'd agree - I like the silver best. I'm not concerned with most color variants, I usually pick the one style I like best and call it done, but the silver is pretty fab.

I'm still an Astronaut belt and three playsets away from a complete loose standard run though... so the silver would be a back-burner for me.
