    Hmmm,
If it was any other time than now i'd say part out the figures ....

Today though, with the retro heroes being a hit and drawing in new collectors with deep pockets I would consider leaving the figures complete.

IMO many of these newbees probably don't want to play around assembling a figure from parts because it might save them a few dollars.
These people want to hit the hobby hard --- and of course crash and burn when they get bored of it

In this climate would seriously consider selling the figures whole.

If it was me. I would list all of the figures complete first with a make an offer option and if they don't sell after a few days, then I would part them out. Good luck with your decision and future sales.

Sammy, Once again you took the words right out of my mouth. This is starting to get a bit scary as we often think so much a like.

That is exactly the same advice I was going to offer as well.

I bet you would. I have some webbed hands. BUT they are attached to a whole complete figure.

I would imagine that at the rate things go here at the MM and the market place that whatever you are thinking about offering for sale is probably just about all but gone by now. As the PM's continue to flow into your mail box asking for this and that.

I know I just showed some Titan pictures to a member here in the forum publically a little while back and my in box filled up with requests. The best part about it was that I was not really even trying to sell any of the other Titan's. Not that I am complaining or anything. It is amazing how fast the most of them sold.

Then I actually listed an original boxed GA that I actually meant to sell since the Titan sale went over so well. I got zero response. So basically what I am trying to say here in essence is that you just never know what kind of a response you will get here. It really all depends on who is looking for what at the right time.

Different people are always looking for different things at all given times. It seems to me that a lot of people here are on budgets and are looking for inexpensive parts.

Then there is people like me that would rather just buy the whole darn complete figure and be done with the hunt. Some of us are a bit more patient then others I suppose. There are still times that I buy just parts to complete some of my trade figures.

At any rate whatever you decide to do best of luck to you on your sale.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Offer the complete figures and if they don't sell then part them out.

Even though I just need the parts - I will sometimes buy a complete figure if the price is right.

If it was a figure I didn't have, I'd look for them complete and all original. Like when I was buying the Space:1999 figures. They had to be complete since I knew I'd never find a loose comlock.

However, when I bought my LaFitte it was missing both pistols. I figured since 2 figures had pistols they wouldn't be too tough to find. I was wrong. It took 10 years for me to complete him (thanks to Berto no less).

I still need some pieses - Batgirl cape, Batman cape, Robin gloves, Green Arrow hat, Goblin bag and boots, Riddler belt. If you end up having any of these items frop me a line.

I'll buy parts like a complete body and different clothes and heads and accessories. I may buy pieces of a T1 (since I know how to assemble one). But I don't care if it's original or repro, as long as the figure looks good.

                          Both!

It's great to purchase a minty complete figure but also a lot of fun (for me anyway) to build a figure and hunt for the parts.....

I wouldn't part out a complete, original figure. It's survived all this time intact and then it gets scattered into pieces. I bought a Batgirl several years ago, that some guy parted out from the card. I have never completed it yet. I have a minty body, jumpsuit and helmet. It's like the Ebay guy who's trying sell the hard to find single piece for more than a complete figure sells for. If it's complete, sell it complete. How many figures have 2 original boots in 2 different shades of color or condition?

I can see where the parts would go faster than the complete figure in most cases. Depending on the prices being asked of course.

I personally would never part out a complete original figure UNLESS someone was willing to pay me for the parts dearly. Even then I shrug at the idea of doing it. I would have to be hurting for money to do something like that. And that is not the case here. I guess it really all depends on how strapped you are for cash. If you need the dough then the parts must go.

Personally if it were me (which we all know that it is clearly not the case) I would just hold out and get the top dollar for the complete figure. The heck with parting it out as it takes more time and hassle. Then again though that is just me. Everyone's situation obviously is different.
