Hmm, I had no idea it was an undiscovered piece or I would have bid higher on that lot. Very, very cool!
An old Irish Blessing - "May those who love us, love us; and if they do not love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He does not turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping"
This is some kind of rare find? Is there a more common version that I may be confusing it with? Because I think my brothers and I had one of these when we were kids.
I don't remember any hangars, but if it had come with some, we would have lost them on the ride home from the toy store...
Wow... Again, I wish I took better care of my toys and hung onto them. I shoulda listened to Mark Hammil...
I have a memory of my TRU having these when I was a kid, because I remember thinking that it looked like a cool box and then gave it a pass when I realized it didn't have anything in it.
All in all, I prefer Irwins AJ foot locker to this "wardrobe". This is still a pretty cool find though.
Are you talking about the wooden AJ Footlocker that looks almost just like a GI Joe wooden footlocker? I have one of those and didn't know it was made by Irwin!?!?
I seem to recall someone posted pics of some generic Irwin vehicles that were rpopesed for Action Jackson too...? Was a long time ago though. Anybody remember more about those??
Based on this similar Dinah Mite Wardrobe Locker, it doesn't look like it's missing much. It possibly had a similar shoe box and an AJ Packaged with it.
That is really cool! Even after all this time there are still new discoveries out there waiting to be found.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
The artwork reminds me of the generic boxes, which would chronologically place this towards the end of the run, possibly explaining why they're not lfeatured in any catalogs. Same logic would exlplain why there are so few of them.
