    Stand up for Mego?

Ok, I have a few 8" and 12" mego and non-mego "figures" (not dolls)that I have been using crappy metal doll stands to display...are there any less-trashy alternatives? I want to use some kind of stand that doesn't look so cheap. Does anyone make clear plastic?

    THANKS!

Interesting question. I've never seen a clear stand. That said, I have had little problem with having them stand on their own.

I have purchased 2 clear acrylic stands at Michaels crafts store. They only had 12 inch format , but I dont know if the come in shorter versions. I think I paid $10.99 for them.

I use black Kaiser stands. They are a lot less obtrusive looking than white stands, especially on a black shelf.

Me too -- black is the way to go with the metal stands.

Some higher end 1/6th scale manufacturers make poseable clear stands. Instead of the upright column being one piece it's actually several clear ball joints so you can pose/or hide it as you see fit. I've also seen smaller versions that clip to the ankle and tuck up under the pant leg so as to be nearly unnoticeable. Most online retailers for 1/6th scale accessories and such should be able to point you in the right direction.
