So who is going to "Buy Them All"

Is anyone here planning on buying all the new Megos coming out this year?

How far would you go to ensure you had a complete set (ie including variants)?

I'm going to be getting all the Superheroes I can get my hands on, but I'll be picking choosing from the other lines very carefully given how easily you can blow your budget these days with so many awesome choices.

As with any product, I will be selective. The Twilight figures are cool, but I'm scratching my head how that got picked over so many other licenses out there. That seemed really obscure. With all of the kid interest in anime', I'm surprised no one tried to do a vintage line of 'Battle of the Planets' or perhaps even some other Japanese property like Ultraman. For myself Castaway figures, assorted Mattel superheroes, Lebowski, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, and the Universal monsters will probably be where I reserve my money.

buy them all for me! 8" superheros all the way baby! Those are what got me started with Megos in the 70's
and what catches my eye still today, will always love the superheros!

Picking my battles, some I've had on preorder from EE since day 1 but others will be a matter if I come across them in my travels and how they are priced. I won't say never to any of them honestly.

I'll be buying all the mattel figures except the varaint Sinestro, I've never seen that outfit. Will also get the monster figures and Trek figures.

I'm gonna buy Aquaman, Batman and Wonder Woman from the Retro Heroes line, and probably the Kanamit, the Doctor and that big Talky Tina talking doll from BBP.

I'm going to try to buy them all (don't tell the wife!) I'm not real big on variants, so I'll pick up the ones I can but won't lose sleep over missing something.

I think the only ones I don't want for sure are the Batboy and the Twilight Zone dummy figures. I also don't know how hard I'm going to go after the Ghostbuster figures - no real attraction to the cartoon. But I love the first movie, so I'll see. Also not sure on the SDCC variant.

As far as the rest go, I don't know for sure if I'm going to get them all as they come out, but I sure do want them all (and doubles of all the Mattel Heroes).

I think I'm a lock of ALL of the Twilight Zone figures and the majority of the Dark Shadows.
                      After that?

Mattel Retro-Action WGSH.. This won't be a "collect 'em all" mentality for me. Probably the characters I don't already have in Mego or Custom Mego form. Also depending if I see them at store level...I'm not going to hunt them down on the internet.

Lost....Jury's out...I may get a couple and then if like 'em once they're in hand I may persue the line more. This would have initially been a shoe-in for me but after seeing the protos I wasn't as impressed.

Universal Monsters....Just the Wolfman, if even that

                      Brick Mantooth/Super Collector... Aw Yeah!

Zica's Buck Rogers....From what I've seen of the proto pics a lot of time and detail is being put in to these. I'm not a BR fan but I may have to get at least Buck.

                      HIA's Lincolnstein....Another Aw Yeah!

The Venture Bros....Not a fan of the show (never seen an ep) but for some reason these ARE crying out to me to "collect 'em all".

Ghostbusters, Flash Gordon, Anthrax, Big Lebowski.... No

Did I leave any lines out?

Correction: The Ghostbusters, yellow Sinestro and Batboy are probably my for certain "nevers" unless I need to do a custom.

It's Difficult for me to say ...
Whatever Kinda Money I have ,.. is most likey the Amount I will get. But I do Hope to get Doc's Lantern Brigade, Venture Bro's , Brick, and Check out what Zica's got going on With Buck and Hawk. That Green Slave Chick was pretty Hot too.

That explains why I haven't seen it. I only read comics from the 60's, 70's,
80's, and very few from the 90's and 2000. I really don't like the slick paper and photoshop colored artwork.
