SDCC: Heroes in Action! Lincoln and LINCOLNSTEIN!

Here's what may be a true Mego Museum scoop. Mark Huckabone's Heroes in Action toys presents Abraham Lincoln and their newest upcoming creation....LINCOLNSTEIN!

    Heroes in Action Lincoln Figures

These are the first public pics of this new figure from HIA. It's a crazy cool looking figure. This was a suggestion I casually made to Mark and he really took the idea and ran with it.

An exclusive as in a new figure ?

Will HIA be solely US Presidents ?

Scott wasn't the only one with plans for a Lincoln variant. Although his is likely the better and more popular concept.

Nope, while I won't betray any trust, I've seen some neat-o things at a certain toy sculptors house.

Aw, man - completely great. I can't believe he went for this. And considering there's a cresting trend for vintage literature and monsters - think the recent books "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" - this might actually be a popular figure.

That would be neat. I for one would definitely be looking forward to that. I hope that becomes a reality in the near future.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Lincolnstein figure, but I don't get WHY it was made, is there some sort of history with this one? Does he appear in a comic like that or something?

Lincoln has always been the best US President to make fun of mostly because of his odd looks.

Also, Lincoln's body was almost stolen and was hidden for 25 years in an unnamed location.
Today it's burried under 6 feet on concrete (so nobody tries stealing it again)

Live and dead he has a funkie history.

It's the same as Frankenberry being modelled after Jerry Ford ...
                              Just kidding
