I don't plan on getting clear bodies anytime soon, so buy an extra
Phantom Limb for your customs.

If Phantom Limb sells out too soon or for some reason is unattainable,
then I will get clear bodies made, but instead of competing with BBP
on this, I would rather step back.

As my wise old father always says - "What?! Do I look like I'm made
of money!"

It will be clear. The connectors for the arms and legs come from
the torso tool, so it just makes sense to do the whole figure clear.

Heads are another story. I don't know if the vinyl used to make
rotocast heads can be clear or if a translucent white is the best
you can do. I remember a 12 inch Joe several years ago that was
done in clear, but the head was white.

Clear heads can be done - the Takara Henshin Cyborgs came with clear heads that appeared to be rotocast. don't know if the material is the same as normal heads.

I've got one of those. The head is hard plastic (like the old Russian, according to a friend of mine), but is frosted a little rather than completely clear. I think that was an aesthetic feature, though. to bring out the details of the head sculpt.

Takara did a clear vinyl head for their Henshin Cyborgs, which was super-clear in the recent Neo-Henshin series.

If you're doing a Time Traveler, though, you'll probably want hard plastic or resin to better take the silver or chrome coat the head would need. Silver paint on vinyl is a pain in the a55.
