The 1980 Mego show room is all about Sci Fi

This rare photo of the 1980 Mego showroom claims the model is wearing "Star Trek regalia" (not sure what uniform that is) but more importantly it gives a glimpse of what Mego had to offer at Toy Fair 1980.
This photo not only shows Black Hole toys that were never released to market but also gives us a first look of what the box for remote controlled V.I.N.C.ent would have looked like.

We've shown it before but it's worth repeating, this six foot banner was prominently displayed in the Mego booth at 1980 Toy Fair.

Yes and no, Mego had already had the Black Hole figures out for Christmas 1979 as the film was released the previous December. I seem to recall the Empire Toys were more a Christmas 1980 thing. Same with Star Trek and Buck.

That uniform looks a bit like one of the rejected Phase II jumpsuits that were proposed before they decided to reuse the original uniforms...but its hard to be sure without a frontal shot. I'm betting I could find bigfoot before finding another picture too?

Nice! It's really cool to get a small look at what the RC V.I.N.Cent's box may have ended up looking like.

This part of the picture is very interesting! Looks like some kind of Palomino version of a Verti-bird toy, complete with a white spaceman to pick up.

In the background seem to be packaged 3 3/4" action figures, but the packaging art doesnt match anything I can think of. I assume its Black Hole figures, but theres a Buck Rogers costume to the far left of the picture, so it could be Bucks? Although, If this is the 1980 Toy Fair, both of those lines should have been released already so I cant see them using mocked up packaging?....any ideas?
